Location Shoot Five

As the deadline is approaching, and I still need to produce my book, this is the last location I will be visiting, and in my opinion is the best. I wanted to visit an independently run petrol station and talk to the owner, and I finally found this place near to where I live at home. Meeting the man and listening to his story was extremely interesting, and I am pleased with the work I produced there.

These images are the last of the mini series I have been working on to give my set of images more depth and interest. I am really pleased with how a lot of them have come out - the good weather and interesting locations I have come across have given me access to some really great people and I am really pleased with the last month's work. I really feel like the entire project has a whole new element that has filled the gap that was lacking with the passenger portraits. I feel as if I have developed quite a lot over the past few months, and the combination of all the types of imagery I have produced will form a great book.

Seventh Trip

Having visited a few locations to get some more images to add interest to the project, I had the opportunity to take some more landscape style shots.

Now I have begun to expand my project to include locations and people that work on the roadside, I think these pictures aren't as interesting and are nothing special. I will keep taking every opportunity I get to increase the number of photographs I am producing though, it never hurts to have a good selection to choose from!

Location Shoot Three

Visiting is going well, this time I photographed at a car wash I was using.

Location Three

I visited another roadside cafe today, but unfortunately was not able to make any portraits of the people there as they were quite busy. However, I still feel that the images have a sense of character.

Location Shoot Two

I have decided to visit a series of roadside services to create portraits to add another element to my work.

As time goes on I am becoming more and more confident in asking strangers for photographs, and I feel that these new images really add something to the project that was missing before; the sense of personality and character that is found at all of these places that I visit.
